We may add other info in the near future, but for now, we are not scheduled to be in any other shows or craft fairs. Instead, we encourage you to contact us directly in e-mail or phone.
HOME SHOWS/NON PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
The Prairie Arts can also be a new and different way to introduce your friends and family to the beauty of native wildflowers and grasses -- captured on paper.
We are now available to speak at - and to sell merchandise at private parties, and gatherings of interested people. We will set up a lovely display of our papers and at the same time, talk about prairie and what a "true" prairie really is. A portion of every purchase during the show will go towards a non-profit organization of your choice.
Just call or write for more details.
Sincerely,
Lana Gits Owner, The Prairie Arts
WRITE! To Love & Forgive
The Prairie Arts has joined the Fetzer Institute in the National Campaign For Love & Forgiveness.
This multi-year campaign, formally launched in November 2006, encourages you to take a pause from e-mails,voice mails, and phone calls to write a note to someone you care about. Express your thanks for a kindness, share how you miss them, or recall a memory or story. A written note, no matter the length, may deepen, renew,or mend relationships…and maybe even make someone’s day!
A nonprofit foundation established by John E. Fetzer, a broadcast pioneer and former owner of the Detroit Tigers, the Fetzer Institute's work rests on its conviction that love and forgiveness can transform and heal individuals and communities. By raising awareness of the power of love and forgiveness, the campaign seeks to inspire positive changes at home, at work and in the communities where we live. Join the campaign and change everything.

WHY AND HOW TO WRITE
Tips to consider from Lilia Falgatter and The Prairie Arts:
- Create a list of shared memories and admirable qualities of the person. These can make up the bulk of your letter.
- There is tremendous power in the lovingly written word
- Your words will become the treasured keepsake of those you love
- Tell the ones you love, in writing, why they mean so much.
- If the words don’t come flooding out, short and sweet is fine.
- In an era of camera phones and giant flat-screen TVs, this is one instance when a thousand words (or maybe just a hundred) can be worth much more than any picture.
- Sometimes, saying "I Love You" is not enough to convey your feelings
- Include photos, pressed petals or leaves from a special walk or favorite garden plant, a bookmark made from a copy of a picture of you and the recipient....be creative!
-The time to write is NOW!
