Custom paintings, and murals may also be commissioned.

WEDDING INVITATION:
The McGill -
Kramer Invitation
Chickadee and Dogwood: The bride and groom were both lovers of nature and especially of birds. They wanted a scene with a Chickadee showing action or at the least, not idleness! The invitation measures 5 X7".

REPLY CARD:
Measuring 4.5 X 5", this reply card picks up and "Screens" the same image that is on the invitation.

PLACE CARD
Again, a portion of the original image, used for guest place cards

BOOKMARK:
Each guest was given this bookmark, designed from the original invitation and laminated with the date of the wedding and a favorite poem

The Wellnitz/Zaug invitation
was recently designed for a "letterpress". It is printed in  a chocolate colored ink. Elegant and understated. The bride and groom are having a relxaed, outdoor wedding and recycled paper was very important to them. We did better! We used 100% cellulose plant fiber, made in Italy.

Reply Card:
A reworked image from above, a line drawing of the Wild Geranium, was used again only on one line of the reply card. It's simplicity lies in just the right amount of "negative space" around the text.

Info Card:
Packed with info and lovely to read with the letterpress technique.

OUTDOOR SIGNS:
Plaque in resin, created for the Menard County Trails and Greenway Assoc.

Art & Linda's Newsletter:
Art and Linda required a new logo, brochure and business card that was updated and more colorful. Knowing about native plants was a plus with this assignment. All papers used were recycled.

Newsletter

A new, more organized newsletter was needed to instruct and keep in touch with clients. Once the masthead and layout were decided on, each issue fits into that design. Original artwork and photos can be added.

LOGOS/BUSINESS CARDS
Created for Mary Anne Davidson, to reflect her love of weaving and natural designs. This card opens up and can be used as a hang-tag as well.

AWARD AND PLAQUES:
Created for the International Oak Society, to commemorate the dedication of lifetime service. This award was made from a remnant of the original "Lincoln Vault Oak" which was unfortuantely and illegally cut down in Springfield a few years ago. The Society salvaged the trunk to help create these awards.

HAND PAINTED MURALS:
Big Bluestem with Little Bluestem.
The murals on this page and on our home page were painted by Lana Gits for Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie outside of Joliet, Illinois.

They were painted in acrylic paint on stiched canvass. The unusual size of the panels was intended to show the height of the prairie grasses in full season.

Each of them measure about
3 feet by 7 to 8 feet. Consider custom ordering one or two of these for your living or dining room area. They make wonderful moveable murals or wall hangings. Instead of being painted on the wall, they can be moved from room to room as desired or even rolled up and moved to a different location. The acrylic paint will not crack.

These murals also make excellent teaching tools for outdoor Education and Nature Centers.
